Fifteen new COVID-19 related fatalities have hit Ghana, augmenting the country’s death toll to 464, health officials revealed late Sunday.
According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the active cases have shot up to 6,411 after 765 new cases were confirmed from the laboratories across the country.
The West African country has a total of 71,533 confirmed cases after conducting 805, 652 tests since coronavirus was first imported into the country mid-March 2020.
Out of the total number of cases, the GHS reports that 64,658 have recovered so far. Currently, 112 persons are in severe condition while 32 cases have been classified as critical. No patient is on a ventilator in the country.
Of the 1,143 cases detected at the Kotoka International Airport, 896 have recovered.
