The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that nominations for Presidential and Parliamentary candidates will be open from Friday, August 2, to Friday, September 13, 2024.

For those seeking the Presidential position, a nomination fee of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC100,000) must be paid upon submission of the nomination forms. Female candidates and persons with disabilities are eligible for a reduced fee of Seventy-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC75,000).

According to the EC’s statement issued on August 1, 2024, the payment for presidential nominations must be made via a banker’s draft addressed to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission. Candidates must also ensure that their completed forms are signed by themselves and by at least two registered voters from each District Assembly.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Electoral Commission’s website (https://ec.gov.gh/forms/) starting from August 2, 2024.
