Sammy Awuku, the NPP parliamentary candidate-elect in the Akuapem North Constituency in the Eastern Region, has expressed gratitude for the unanimous support received from party delegates on December 2.
Awuku, eyeing the 2024 elections, pledged a relentless pursuit of development across Akuapem North.
“It has been a long journey, over ten to eleven years. Together with a few friends, we started this. Wonderful people rallied behind me. They kept saying that I would be given the opportunity when the time came. This acclamation is not taken for granted. Rain or shine, I will stand by them, and together, we will develop the constituency”, Awuku told the media.
Awuku who is serving under the Akufo-Addo-led government as Director-General of the National Lottery Authority emphasized his commitment to addressing key areas: “We will ensure development in roads, health, potable water, electricity. All those who left, come home. Let’s work together. I will be a candidate for all the people, and I want to be an MP for all. This is a call to service.”
“All aggrieved supporters and those of the sitting MP, come home. Let’s drive development together. I don’t take this endorsement lightly. On any day, I will stand by them, and we will develop the constituency together”, Awuku urged as he called for unity.
