In preparation for the upcoming clash against Madagascar at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium, Black Stars’ coach Chris Hughton has revealed a potent lineup as Ghana kicks off its 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification journey.
Leading the charge is Orlando Pirates’ goalkeeper Richard Ofori, displacing Lawrence Ati-Zigi from the goalkeeping position, marking his return since the September 2022 friendly against Nicaragua.
The defensive setup showcases fullbacks Alidu Seidu and Gideon Mensah, while central defense sees the partnership of Daniel Amartey and Nicholas Opoku.
Midfield duties are entrusted to Mohammed Kudus, Baba Iddrisu Mohammed, and Salis Abdul Samed, forming a formidable trio.
The attacking force comprises Crystal Palace’s Jordan Ayew, Iñaki Williams, and Antoine Selorm Semenyo, aimed at propelling Ghana to victory.
Notably, team captain Andre Ayew will commence the match from the substitutes’ bench.

– Defenders: Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Nicholas Opoku
– Midfielders: Mohammed Kudus, Baba Iddrisu Mohammed, Salis Abdul Samed
