An accident occurred at Dominase, on the Kumasi-Techiman on Friday, killing at least two people and injuring eleven others, according to multiple reports.
The victims are a driver’s mate and a male passenger who died on the spot.
Surviving victims who sustained various degrees of injury are responding to treatment at St. Patrick’s Hospital, the police told dailymailgh.com.
The accident involved a Yutong bus heading down south from Zebilla in the Upper East Region. Witnesses say it ran into a stationary cargo truck prompting an emergency response.
The mangled vehicles have since been towed to the Kodie Police Station as officers work to clear debris on the road.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue for further preservation and identification. There are fears the death toll could rise.
