A cocoa purchasing clerk has been shot and killed in a daylight robbery attack at Maaban, near Tepa in the Ahafo-Ano North District of the Ashanti region.

Not satisfied with their booty, the robbers shot the deceased killing him instantly. They also made away with some unspecified amounts of money belonging to other victims.

Police in Tepa were later called to the gruesome scene minutes after the robbers had bolted.

Some empty shells were also retrieved at the crime scene by the police.

At the time of filing this report, the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Tepa Government Hospital morgue for preservation.

In November 2018, the deceased suffered a similar attack at the office he returned from the bank at Tepa to his office.

The Ghana News Agency reported that the armed gang scared the victim with gunshot to compel the victim to surrender some amounts of money to them.
