Ghana Under-20 have kicked off their campaign at the All African Games with a 2-1 win against Burundi on Saturday.

Tahiru Awudu scored twice to give the Black Satellites their first win in the tournament.

Coach Yaw Preko is pleased with the vital win and wants his charges to do more.

“I am very pleased with the results because first games of every tournament is very important and difficult to win so I am excited for my boys,” Preko said after the match.

“We are taking it match after match and I believe my boys will be mentally and physically fit and ready for our next game against Senegal,” he added.

Ghana will square-off against Senegal in their second group game on August 21.
