Two COVID-19 cases have hit absa Bank Ghana Limited (Barclays Bank), management has announced to staff.

Managing Director of absa Bank Abena Osei-Poku in a memo to staff said the two infected persons are being treated “with the necessary support.”

She said contact tracing is ongoing to keep every staff safe.

The memo also urged staff to continue to adhere to all the safety protocols directed by the health ministry.

“If you feel unwell, kindly contact functional head, who will ensure you have received the required support immediately… testing is available to all of you on-demand.”

Meanwhile, Ghana’s COVID-19 death toll is now 70 after four more deaths were recorded on June 17, 2020, according to the Friday update by the Ghana Health Service.

The GHS said 274 new cases have been recorded making the total caseload 13,203.

The recoveries have increased to 4,548 with the total number of active cases standing at 8,585.
