Ghanaian international Asumah Abubakar-Ankra scored a first half hat-trick as SC Kriens thump FC Aarau at home on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian – born Portuguese has been on a scoring spree since joining the Swiss side from Dutch side Willem II and continued with his dazzling displays after the Covid-19 pandemic break.
Kriens shot themselves in front under 10 minutes when the Ghana attacker found the back of the net seven minutes into the match.
Eight minutes later, Abubakar-Ankra got his team’s second and his second goal of the game to make it 2-0 after just a quarter of an hour of action.
Elsad Zverotic reduced the deficit for the visitors on the 28th minutes mark to give the the away team some sense of believe.
Six minutes after conceding, Abubakar-Ankra completed his hat-trick by restoring the home teams two goals lead on the 34th minutes.
Two minutes to the break, Igor Tadic made it 4-1 for the host who went on to record a resounding victory to remain fourth on the Swiss Challenge League table.
Abubakar-Ankra has now scored a whopping 13 goals with five assists for SC Kriens this season.
