Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has said he did not have a good day in office during the goalless draw against Cameroon on Saturday.
He is quite optimistic he will bounce back in the next game.
The talented Atletico Madrid central midfielder struggled for 90 minutes against the Indomitable Lions as he was overrun by Andre-Frank Anguissa.
“We are a team and we play as a team. Things didn’t go well for me personally (against Cameroon),” Partey admitted at the pre-match presser against Guinea Bissau.
“I tried to help with whatever I can and I’m happy with the performance of the team. Now we have to focus on our next game,” he noted.
Partey will start in central midfield alongside Mubarak Wakaso on Tuesday evening as Ghana eye a win over minnows Guinea Bissau to book their place in the second round.
The Black Stars and Benin are tied on two points behind Group leaders Cameroon who have four.
