Ghanaian leader Nana Akufo-Addo is down following Black Stars’ exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Ghana was knocked out by Tunisia on Monday after losing 5-4 on penalties at the round 16 stage.
Reacting to the exit of the Black Stars in a tweet, Mr. Akufo-Addo, who had earlier charged the team to return home with the trophy, expressed confidence that the team will bounce back even stronger.
“Like most Ghanaians, I am gutted by the exit of the Black Stars at Afcon 2019. I wish the team better luck next time. I am confident they will bounce back even stronger, and make all of us proud once again,” Mr. Akufo-Addo tweeted.
