Benin striker Cebio Soukou has stated they are not afraid of any team on the continent and will go all out at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 24-year-old who was born to a Beninois father and a German mother in Bochum mentioned that they are well equipped and can take on any team in Africa.
“We are in Egypt to win, we are full of confidence and we trust in our ability. Then again, the same applies to the lads from the other countries too,” Soukou told Deutche Welle.
The Hansa Rostock striker made his debut for the Squirrels this year against Togo in the final decider for the AFCON tournament and he maintais that he has adapted well in the team.
“The lads have made it easy for me, they have all been relaxed and friendly and have accepted me as their own. We all play in top European leagues so the level in training has been good,” he added.
The Squirrels will open their 2019 AFCON campaign with a game against the Black Stars of Ghana this evening at Ismailia.
