The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast has had some great goals and Dailymailgh.com takes a look at the very best among the goals this year in Ivory Coast.
The tournament kicked off in Ivory Coast on Saturday, January 13 with Sekou Fofana becoming the first player to score at the tournament against Guinea-Bissau in the opening game.
Another spectacle unfolded when 34-year-old Equatorial Guinea’s Emelio Lopez Nsue made history by becoming the oldest player to score Hat-Trick at the Africa Cup of Nations and the first player to do so since 2008 in Ghana.
There’s been up and downs with some big guns like Ghana, Algeria and Tunisia all exiting the competition at the end of the group stage games.
One thing which cannot be taken away has to be the quality of officiating and the pitch which has allowed players to play without the fear of being injured and subsequently paving way for some great great goals so far at the Africa showpiece.
