Communities in Ketu South affected by recent tidal waves have received significant donations to help residents recover from the disaster. Various individuals and organizations have contributed relief items and funds to support those displaced.

Roads and Highways Minister, Kwame Governs Agbodza, donated 250 bags of 25kg rice, 50 boxes of cooking oil, and 1,000 bags of sachet water to provide immediate assistance to the victims. Businessman Ibrahim Mahama also contributed GHS100,000 to help alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the disaster.

Additionally, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has supplied various relief items to ensure that displaced residents have access to basic necessities. The Volta Caucus MPs also came together to donate another GHS100,000 to support the ongoing relief efforts.

During a visit to Agavedzi on Thursday, March 6, former President John Dramani Mahama assessed the extent of the destruction and reassured victims that further assistance was on the way. He noted that the local MP and Minister for Tourism, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, who was away on a national assignment, would oversee the distribution of relief items upon her return over the weekend.

A private lawyer also contributed GHS10,000 to support ongoing relief and recovery efforts, adding to the growing assistance being extended to the affected communities.
