President Akufo-Addo has appointed health directors in the newly created six regions, DailymailGh.com can report.
This was contained in a statement signed by acting Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye.
The appointment, according to the statement, was in accordance of the Governing Council of the Ghana Health Service — given in consultation with the Public Service Commission.
In the new appointments, Dr. Boakye Boateng, Dr. Fred Adomako-Boateng and Dr. Marion Okoh-Owusu will be health directors in the newly created Ahafo, Bono East and Western North regions respectively.
The others are; Dr. Chrysantus Kubio who will head the Savanna Region, Dr. Abdulai Abubakar for the North East Region and Dr. Emmanuel Dzotsi for the Oti Region.
Meanwhile, the President has also appointed Dr. Akosua Owusu-Sarpong as the Central Regional Health Director and one Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye who will be in charge of the Health Promotion Division at the Ghana Health Service Headquarters.
