President Nana Akufo-Addo expressed his optimism about South Africa’s future, stating, “I am confident that, under your continued leadership, South Africa will attain greater heights, and make significant strides towards the realisation of these goals” of “recovery, social development, and continental integration.”
Despite the African National Congress (ANC) dominating South African politics for three decades under leaders like Nelson Mandela, the party lost its majority in the 29 May national elections.
