President Akufo-Addo has taken action to replace the Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Dr. John Ofori Tenkorang, by relieving him of his duties and appointing Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo, the Deputy Director-General for Investments, as his successor.
Dr. Tenkorang has been directed to transfer his responsibilities to Osafo-Maafo by April 15.
Osafo-Maafo’s promotion comes as part of a series of governance changes within the Presidency, aiming to enhance operational efficiency.
Additionally, Pearl Nana Ama Darko, the Deputy Director-General for Operations and Benefits at SSNIT, has been reassigned to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) as the Commissioner for Support Services.
President Akufo-Addo has also appointed Juliana Kpedekpo as the new Deputy Director-General for Operations and Benefits, with further plans to appoint a Deputy Director-General for Investment and Development in due course.
These adjustments reflect the President’s ongoing efforts to optimize governance and strategic leadership across key institutions nationwide, ensuring a focused approach towards national development and welfare.
