Alexander Djiku joins Strasbourg

French defender of Ghanaian descent Alexander Djiku has signed for RC Strasbourg from Caen for a fee of four million Euros.

Dailymailgh.com can reveal that the towering central defender appended his signature to the deal on Friday after passing his medicals in a private hospital in Strasbourg.

Djiku, 24, was a pillar at the back last season for Caen making 31 appearances and scoring one goal as they suffered relegation from the Ligue one.

Born to a Ghanaian mother and a French mother in Montpellier, Djiku who has previously featured for Bastia is yet to be capped by France or Ghana at any level.
