As word of a Deputy Clerk of Ghana’s Parliament Robert Apodolla’s death spread on Friday, tributes quickly poured in from previous and current MPs from the political divide.
Former MP for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak said Apodolla who died after a short illness “was available as always, to share his experiences of working with all past Speakers of Parliament of the 4th Republic”.
“The Parliament of Ghana has lost one of its unsung icons, a dedicated servant of Parliament who knew his work inside out, and discharged his duties diligently”, Mr Mubarak posted on Facebook.
The deceased until his demise was a member of the Society of clerks-at-the-table in the Commonwealth parliaments.
