Arsenal Star Eddie Nketiah’s nationality switch to represent Ghana is looming after acquiring a Ghanaian passport according to his close relatives.
His switch is imminent and is set to be announced in the coming weeks after the player agreed to don the Black Stars jersey.
According to information available to Dailymailgh.com, the player has agreed to commit himself to Ghana after parental approval and is eager to switch from English nationality to become a full Ghanaian international.
The Ghana Football Association has been informed about the player’s intention to play for Ghana and the FA has already started working to finalize his documentation to allow him to play for Black Stars.
Reports reaching us also confirms the Arsenal man has already taken possession of his Ghanaian passport pending other documents.
He has been in a fine form for the Gunners lately scoring four goals in his last five starts for Arsenal in the English Premier League.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward is likely to play for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
On the other hand, the Ghana Football Association have been working assiduously to finalize the national switch of several other players including Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi as well as Tariq Lamptey of Brighton & Hove Albion.
