Africa legend Asamoah Gyan says he’s made more sacrifices for Ghana’s Black Stars team more than any other Ghanaian footballer.

The former Sunderland player believes he’s done more than any other player for the west Africa country and thinks no player has suffered in the name of football for the country than him.

According to the all time Africa top scorer at the World Cup with six goals to his name, he played for the senior national team with pains and his overall impact on and off the pitch cannot be matched.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Gyan re-echoed his commitment to the Black Stars, citing instances of playing through pain and his overall impact on and off the pitch.

He says, “I always say that there are no players in Ghana’s history who have made more sacrifices than me.”

I don’t see any player. Everybody knows it, even those at the GFA know. When you talk about sacrifices, I know what I’m talking about.”

“The Black Stars was always on my heart. I made sure I did everything to contribute whenever I represented the national team.”
