Asamoah Gyan’s ‘Favourite Black Meteors Striker’ Emmanuel Yeboah bags Man-Of-The-Match gong

Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Yeboah, tipped by Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan for greater heights won the Man-Of-The-Match award in Ghana’s Black Meteors 3-2 victory Congo Brazzaville in their first game of the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco.

 

The striker scored twice and provided an assist for Ghana’s Black Meteors in their opening game of the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco on Sunday afternoon.

Yeboah set up Denmark Superliga side FC Nordsjaelland attacker Ernest Nuamah five minutes from the break after he took over from captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the 46th minute mark.

He later grabbed brace to help Ghana’s Olympic team get off to a good start with a hard earned 3-2 win against a tough Congo Brazzaville team.

The game was full of fireworks in the early exchanges with Ghana being the better side for the first 15 minutes of the match with total control in possession.

Asamoah Gyan ahead of the tournament professed his love for the striker, Emmanuel Yeboah who previously played for Young Apostles FC but currently plys his trade in the Romania Top-flight league with giant CFR Cluj.

 

“I can’t wait to see Emmanuel Yeboah at the big stage at the big stage, I love his passions and ability to learn all the time , am not surprised he scored 3 goals in his first start for the National Team,” wrote Gyan on Twitter.

“Wish him and the Team all the best, I also started from the Meteors. Go Ghana,” he added
