Asante in contention for USL midseason MVP

Phoenix FC skipper Solomon Asante has been nominated for the USL Most Valuable Player for the 2019 midseason.

The Ghanaian winger has been on fire for the American second-tier side in the ongoing league netting 10 goals and providing eight assists in 14 games.

Fans are expected to go to the official website and twitter page of the USL Championship and vote for thier MVP in the half season.

Other nominees for the midseason best player are Brian Brown (Reno FC), Kevaughn Frater (New Mexico United), Jerome Kiesewetter, (El Paso locomotive FC) and Daniel Ross, Nashville FC.

Asante last year won his club’s player of the season and also top scorer award.
