Asante Kotoko played out a 1-1 draw game with Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors could not replicate their performance in the Ghana Super Clash which saw them ride over rivals Hearts of Oak last Sunday in Accra.
The Reds were dominated by a determined Blue and Whites side from Dansoman throughout the entirety of the match at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The visitors missed great opportunities to go in front in the first half missing some clear chances as the first half ended goalless.
Tamimu Muntari netted the first goal of the game on the 56th minute to put the visitors 1-0 up.
Liberty could have killed the Porcupines off with numerous glaring chances in the second half.
Kotoko made the away team paid dearly for their missed chances earlier in the second half when striker William Opoku Mensah pounced on a loose ball to head home the equalizer for the home team after a miscommunication between Liberty Professionals defender and the goal keeper.
The game ended 1-1 and both teams settled for a point each.
