The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Friday, November 22, 2019 paid a courtesy call on vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The monarch called on Dr. Bawumia at the seat of government – the Jubilee House. In attendance was some government officials including the senior minister Yaw Osafo-Marfo and local government minister Hajia Alima Mahama.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was in the capital, Accra to deliver a lecture at the University of Professional Studies.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Bawumia said: “It was such an honour to receive Otumfuo at the Jubilee House.”
He added: “We discussed issues of national interest geared towards national development and growth.”
Dr. Bawumia is currently acting as president as Nana Akufo-Addo is on an official trip to Germany, UK and UAE.
He is expected to return on November 26, 2019.
