Ashanti Region: No arrest yet as slain Bekwai MCE’s daughter is laid to rest [Photos]

The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday (17 August) joined the people of Kokofu to mourn the death of Akua Serwaa Kyei Owusu, daughter of Hon. Kyei Baffour, the Municipal Chief Executive for Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.

Crowds swarm to the funeral grounds amid tears as they file past the remains of the late Maame Serwaa who was killed by unknown assailants at her Atwima Bebu home on 3 August.

Her death has sent shockwaves among many who have joined calls for justice. The police are however yet to confirm an arrest.
