Ashgold president names son as new CEO

The president of Ghana Premier League side Obuasi Ashantigold Dr. Kweku Frimpong has named his son as the new CEO of the club.

The outspoken football administrator who almost resigned as club president has given the vacant CEO position to his son Emmanuel Frimpong.

The former CEO of the club Frederick Acheampong’s resignation took effect on April 30, leading to the appointment of a new CEO on May 1.

Frimpong’s job as the new CEO of the Miners takes effect May 1, 2020 and has been tasked to lift the club back to its glory days.
