Kumasi-based Division One club Asokwa Deportivo last Saturday organised a successful free medical screening exercise for the people of Asokwa and its environs.

As part of the team’s social responsibility, the management of the club mobilised the youth and the aged to check on their health.

Mr Abdulai Amidu (Kamara), the president of the club, told Dailymailgh.com the event is one of the team’s corporate social responsibilities to impact society.

“We are giving back to the society and decided to organise a free screening exercise which was held last Saturday (16th November, 2019) at Asokwa Old Town,” he said.

According to the club president, medical doctors and nurses were in attendance and the people were diagnosed and given some free drugs.

Asokwa Deportivo also registered all those that were not enrolled on the NHIS for free. Over 370 people were in attendance for the exercise.
