Ghana’s Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has revealed his unflinching love for Ghana legend and father of the Ayew Brothers, Abedi Pele.
The Ghana gaffer stated that he grew up watching the former Olympic Marseille star man and first Ghanaian player to win the UEFA Champions League winner and looked up to the legend.
Despite revealing his love for many top Ghanaian footballers, the Black Stars coach said that Abedi Pele is his favourite Black Stars player of all time.
“Abedi Pele is my favourite Black Stars player of all time. When I was young I used to watch Ghana football and also watch Ghanaian footballers in Europe.
“Abedi Pele is my favourite Black Stars player of all time. When I was young I used to watch Ghana football and also watch Ghanaian footballers in Europe.
“He was one of the players I looked up to. Anthony Yeboah as well. These are my favourite players,” Coach Otto Addo told 3Sports in an interview.
The Germany-trained tactician is currently busy with his assistants working to finalise a 26-man Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Otto Addo will lead Ghana to their fourth FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar next month coming up against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H.
