Basketball Stars play charity game to support leukemia patient

Basketball players in Ghana will be playing a charity game to support one of their own who is battling leukemia.

Gerald Larweh Sappor who is a member of the Coldstore basketball team here in Accra was diagnosed with Leukaemia some four months ago.

The fan of the Los Angeles Lakers in the USA is said to be in need of some thousands of Ghana cedis for medication.

Leukaemia, also known as cancer of the blood is one of the uncurable diseases but with proper medication, one can live long.

Gerald’s basketball teammates across the country will be converging at the University of Ghana basketball court this Sunday, 9TH February, 2020 at 3 pm to mobilize funds to support his treatment.

The charity game is expected to attract Basketball lovers and other philanthropist to support Gerald’s condition.

The day will see some of Ghana’s best Basketball players display some great skills to entertain the crowd.

Some of the teams that are gearing up for the event include; Tema Allstars, Accra Allstars, Coldstare and the University of Ghana Basketball team.

There will be games played among these teams as part of events to raise funds to support Gerald.

Everyone is invited to be part of this charity event.
