Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Vice President of Ghana, has expressed confidence that Ghanaian youth are well-positioned to compete globally.
He attributes this to several key initiatives: the mass issuance of the Ghana Card, the implementation of the National Digital Property Address System, increased financial inclusion through Mobile Money Interoperability, and the forthcoming Credit Scoring system.
In a Facebook post following his address at a forum on International Youth Day in Accra on August 12, Dr. Bawumia emphasized, “With the mass issuance of the Ghana Card, implementation of the National Digital Property Address System, greater financial inclusion through Mobile Money Interoperability and the upcoming rollout of a Credit Scoring system, all is set for Ghanaian youth to compete favourably with their peers across the globe.”
He reassured that despite these advances, the government remains committed to further enhancing opportunities for Ghanaians. Starting in 2025, he noted, additional focus will be placed on critical areas such as land and chieftaincy administrations.
