Episcopal Bishop Peter Asamoah, Founder and Leader of Abiding Glory House Chapel in Tarkwa in the Western Region has declared that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is currently leading over John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 presidential race.
In an interview with SeanCitygh.com, Bishop Asamoah, who had previously prophesied Bawumia’s victory in the NPP presidential primaries, affirmed that spiritually, Bawumia holds a significant edge over Mahama.
He explained that although Mahama was in a favourable position and enjoyed considerable public support until earlier this year, a shift occurred around April, favouring Bawumia. Bishop Asamoah predicts that Bawumia will secure a first-round victory with at least 51% of the vote.
“I prophesied Bawumia’s win in the NPP primaries long before he started campaigning. I told my followers that he would win in the northern regions, Ashanti, Ahafo, and Eastern,” said Bishop Asamoah. “Mahama was leading and was close to securing the seat until April, but since then, he has lost momentum to Bawumia.”
Bishop Asamoah emphasized that while Bawumia is spiritually stronger and more popular than Mahama at the moment, the NDC still has a strong spiritual presence. He expressed uncertainty about whether the NDC can regain their earlier momentum.
“As of now, Dr. Bawumia is ahead. He is spiritually more popular, and I believe he will win with 51% or more,” he concluded.
