Ghana Under 23 midfield dynamo Majeed Ashimeru on Saturday scored his first league goal for RB Salzburg away from home against WSG Swarovski Toril in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 21-year-old midfield gem netted his team’s first goal on the day in his third outing 11 minutes into the game.
Ashimeru opened his head account with a beautiful right footed shot from the centre of the box to the left corner after he was set up by Hwang Hee-Chan from South Korea.
The former captain of WAFA SC played the entire duration of match as they thrashed newly promoted side WSG Swarovski Tirol 5-1 on Saturday.
Ashimeru, who is an integral part of the Black Meteors team, is expected to join his team mates ahead of the crucial 2020 Tokyo Olympics games qualifier against Algeria.
