Ghana’s Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has handed clubless captain Andre Ayew a call-up for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic.
Despite playing zero minutes this and without a club, Andre Ayew has found a way into the Irish gaffer’s preferred players for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations crucial qualifier.
Ghana must beat or at least draw against the Central Africa Republic team to secure their place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast next year January.
Defender Baba Abdul Rahman has returned to the team after he was out with injuries which caused his absence in the last two games of the qualifiers.
Former first choice goalkeeper and one of the assistant captains, Richard Ofori has been included in the team.
