Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah provided a crucial assist to set-up a slim away win for Zulte Waregem in the Belgium elite league.
The former West African Football Academy SC (WAFA) player set up Gianni Bruno a minute before half time to put Waregem in front going into the break.
Mensah, who recently won his first cap for Ghana against South Africa, was booked in the 73rd minute for a bad foul.
Zulte held their grounds despite an immense pressure from the home team KV Mechelen to walk away with all three points.
The gifted Ghanaian left-back is on loan from Austrian giant RB Salzburg and his second assist in the Belgian Jupiler league propelled his side to a third away win and seventh on the league standings.
Cyle Larin made it 2-0 on the stroke of the final whistle to send Waregem’s travelling supporters into a state of ecstasy.
