Joseph Paintsil, the player who was snubbed by Black Stars head coach Otto Addo for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar has showed his worth again in Belgium.

The former Tema Youth FC player provided two assists in his team’s victory over rivals, Club Brugge KV in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Sunday afternoon.

The away team struck first as In-form Hans Vanaken grabbed the opener for the Blue and Blacks Eagles after 21 minutes.

Paintsil set up Carlos Cuesta to scored the score the equalizer halfway through the first 45 minutes of the match with a very brilliant finish on the 25th minute mark, four minutes after going down to a goal.

Paintsil did his magic again by setting up the second goal for the home team and bagging brace of assist when he gave Paul Onuachu a perfect lay-off to score the second goal to complete the comeback.

Bryan Heynen made it 3-1 to the home team late into the game few minutes after the away team missed a glorious chance to level the score-line and got a man sent off moments later.

KRC Genk remains top of the league table after the 3-1 win over Club Brugge KV and have opened up a 10 points gap at the summit of the table.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward, Paintsil, who saw a yellow card in the game has six goals and eight assists this season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
