Boakye Yiadom’s goal proves vital for FK Crvena Zvezda

Ghanaian prolific attacker Richard Boakye-Yiadom scored a goal for his team Crvena Zvezda in the Uefa Champions League qualifiers on Tuesday.

The former Jiangsu Suning FC striker made no mistake in putting his team in front on the night after a beautiful assist from former Chelsea star Marco Marin in the 17th minute of the match.

The 26-year-old former Black Satellites tops man has been on a scoring spree since joining the Serbian giant and added to his ever improving goal scoring prowess.

Boakye – Yiadom formerly of Italian side Atalanta has now hit the back of the net 11 times already this season.

The game against the Danes record Champions FC Copenhagen ended 1-1 on the night and 2-2 on aggregate with Crvena Zvezda securing qualification to the next round on penalties with a 7-6 scoreline.

The Serbians will travel to Bern to face Swiss Champions Young Boys in Switzerland on 21st August before hosting their opponent in a week time at home.
