CAF Champions League: Asante Kotoko beat Kadiogo on the road

Ghanaian champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC defeated Rail Club de Kadiogo in the CAF Champions League prelims first leg.

Young sensation Isaac Oppong scored the only goal of the match to give the Porcupine Warriors advantage in the tie ahead of the second leg.

The youngster scored the winner on the 84th minute mark of the match to give Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC a 1-0 away win over the Burkinabe team.

Kotoko were the better side and played exceptionally well in the opening 45 minutes of the match despite failing to find the back of the net.

Kotoko continued with their dominance in the second half of the match after a dominant first half of the match.

The Porcupine Warriors will host Kadiogo in the second leg of the tie on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The winner of the tie will meet Gaborone United of Botswana or AS Vita club in the last round of qualifiers for a place in the group stages.

Gaborone beat Vita Club 1-0 in Botswana over the weekend.
