CAF U-23 Championship: Afriyie, Abdul Fatawu, Ernest Nuamah headlines Black Meteors 25-man squad

Ghana’s Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko has revealed his 25 players for the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The list include captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Ibrahim Danlad, among other former U20 players who won the CAF Youth Championship in 2021.

Denmark Superliga side FC Nordsjaelland teen sensation Ernest Nuamah has also been brought into the team for the tournament as Ghana seeks for 2024 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament spot.

Ghana who will be starting their campaign on Sunday with a clash against Congo have been in Morocco since Wednesday and aiming to finish in the top three.
