Before taking to the field in the second half of the match, Ghana’s gaffer Ibrahim Tanko made substitutions with Emmanuel Yeboah providing an assist for the opening game which was scored by Ernest Nuamah.
Yeboah got his name on the score sheet fourteen minutes to the end of the match with a fine goal from inside the box and underneath of the goalkeeper.
Ghana were awarded a spot kick minutes later but Arko Mensah missed twice from the spot after a retake before Yeboah scored the second retake to make it 3-0 after Mensah has missed twice.
Congo Brazzaville scored two late goals to scare Ghana but Meteors held on to win 3-2 ahead of Tuesday’s clash against Morocco.
