CAF U-23 Championship: Ibrahim Tanko surprisingly drops Ernest Nuamah, Barnieh starts against Guinea tonight

Ghana’s Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko has named his starting lineup for the game against Guinea this evenning at Ibn Batouta Stadium on June 30, 2023.

Ghana needs a win against their West Africa brothers to make it to the semi-final of the CAF 2023 U-23 Championship in Morocco.

Accra Great Olympics FC player Samuel Abbey Ashie Quaye has been brought into the team after a substitute appearance in the last match against Morocco which ended in a humiliating defeat.

Captain, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been brought in as a replacement for FC Nordsjaelland star player Ernest Nuamah who has arguable been Ghana’s brightest spot at the competition.

Hammarby IF player Nathaniel Adjei has also been given a chance to justify his inclusion tonight as Ghana must win to qualify.

The game kickoffs at 8pm.
