Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko have been paired with Ivorian side San Pedro in the CAF Confederations 2019/2020 playoffs.
Kotoko have a lifeline to represent Ghana in the second tier of the African Club Football Competition after their elimination from the elite tour by Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
Kotoko suffered a painful exit from the Champions League after a 2-3 aggregate defeat to the Tunisians after failing to utilise their 2-0 first leg advantage when they lost 3-0 in the second leg in Monastir.
The Porcupine Warriors will host the Ivorian side in the first leg of the playoffs at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on 27th October after which they will travel to Ivory Coast for the return encounter a week time.
A win will see the Porcupines progress to the group stages of the 2019-20 CAF Champions League.
