Ghana Premier League side Obuasi Ashantigold have confirmed that the team will be leaving the shores of the country for their weekend showpiece in Morocco by 12 noon today.
Speaking to the media officer of the club, Mr Daniel Bioh confirmed to Dailymailgh.com that the team will leave for Morocco between the hours of 12 noon and 2pm.
“The team will depart Ghana today by 12 to 2pm this afternoon for our game against Moroccan side Renaissance Sportif de Berkane which will be played on Saturday,” he said.
According to the media officer of the Obuasi Lads, the club has done everything required for the trip and are set to leave Ghana.
“As we speak I do not know if there would be a transit in our trip but what I can tell you for sure is that everything is done and the traveling contingent is ready to fly from Ghana today,” he noted.
Mr. Bioh also said the club has prepared its mind for any challenges that may arise or come their way during their trip to Morocco.
“What happened to us in Equatorial Guinea has toughened us for challenges that may arise or come our way for the trip to Morocco and both management, technical team and playing body have psyched themselves for the worst case scenario should it be the case this time round as well,” he added.
The Miners are expected to be in Morocco latest by Thursday 26th September 2019 for their Saturday afternoon clash with RS Berkane at 4pm.
