The latest edition of Chale Wote, Ghana’s annual “alternative platform that brings art, music, dance and performance out into the streets,” reached a grand climax last Sunday in Accra, having begun on August 14.
This year’s event was themed differently from each of the previous eight — ‘Pidgin Imaginarium’ — but was characterized by the same potpourri of sights and sounds that has come to define the capital’s street art festival.
