Chaos breaks out at NDC demonstration in Kumasi as police fire teargas, leaving two injured

Tensions boiled over in Kumasi as chaos erupted during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration, forcing police to use teargas to control the situation. The protest, which was organized by the NDC, turned violent after a clash between demonstrators and law enforcement officers.

 

Though the exact reason for the confrontation is unclear, the demonstration quickly escalated, leading to one protester being injured and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

 

Amid the chaos, some protesters attempted to assault a police officer, who was forced to seek refuge in a nearby house. Another officer was also hurt during the altercation after being attacked by demonstrators.

 

Authorities are actively working to restore calm in the area as the situation remains tense.
