Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer has emphasised that English-born Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu will join Oxford United.

Fosu recently extended his contract with the Addicks to enable the English side get a transfer fee in any move.

“Fosu is going to Oxford United. He knows Karl Robinson (the coach), I think is good for him,” Bowyer told London News.

“I spoke with him (Tariqe) a couple of days ago. I wish him well.

“I don’t have a clue on how much money is involved. I don’t mingle my self in that. Footballing-wise is the best place for him and Karl has been interested in him long time,” he added.

Fosu, 23, has previously played for Reading and last season he made 27 league appearances scoring twice and providing three assists for Charlton.
