CID invites Power FM presenter over ‘threats’ on Akufo-Addo

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has invited an Accra-based broadcaster, Oheneba Boamah Bennie, for questioning.

According to the CID, Oheneba is being investigated after he allegedly recorded a live video on his Facebook page in which he was heard insulting and issuing a series of threats to President Akufo-Addo.

The same video was widely shared on December 10, 2020, the Ghana Police Service said in a letter addressed to Power FM, a pro-NDC radio station where he works.

In the letter sighted by dailymailgh.com, the CID is asking the radio station to avail Oheneba Boamah Bennie to assist in their investigations.

He is expected to report to the CID Headquarters on Monday, December 14, 2020, at 10 am, the letter signed by its Director-General COP Ken Yeboah read.
