Contact tracing begins after Goldfields Ghana staff, wife test positive for COVID-19

Health authorities in the Tarkwa Municipality of the Western region have intensified contact tracing efforts, after a staff with Goldfields Ghana and his wife, tested positive for COVID-19. 

In a statement sighted by Dailymailgh.com, the company said it received the test results from the Noguchi Memorial Institute on Monday, May 3, 2020.

The patient, who is a worker of one of the mining contractors, and his spouse have been isolated and are receiving treatment.

The couple are in stable condition, the statement said.
