The Koforidua High Court has issued a substituted order compelling Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, the Electoral Commission (EC), and the Clerk of Parliament to appear before the court. The order, served by a court bailiff on Tuesday, February 25, is in response to an election petition filed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The petition, led by NDC parliamentary candidate Fummey Selorm Philibert and his legal team, challenges the Electoral Commission’s declaration of Annoh-Dompreh as the MP-elect for Nsawam Adoagyiri. The NDC claims the declaration was made in error and is seeking legal redress.

To ensure the order reaches all parties involved, the bailiff served notices at multiple locations, including the High Court, NPP office, Electoral Commission, the police station, the Main Lorry Station, Fawe FM, and selected information centers. The next court hearing is scheduled for March 14, 2025.

The substituted service was granted on February 21 after bailiffs were unable to serve Annoh-Dompreh directly. The court directed that the writ of summons be delivered through various public channels.

Despite a previous directive to exhaust all possible means, neither Annoh-Dompreh nor Electoral Commission officials from the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency appeared in court on January 23, 2025.
