COVID-19: 14 new cases at airport, one dies in Ghana

One more person has passed on after being infected with the deadly coronavirus, figures from the Ghana Health Service reveal.

This brings the death toll to 295 as at Friday, September 18, 2020 in the West African country since it first recorded two cases in March.

At least 97 new cases including 14 at the Kotoka International Airport have also been confirmed from the labs taking the national tally to 45,857. The total number of cases detected since the airport was re-opened on September 1 is now 15.

Ghana has made inroads when it comes to recoveries as active cases stand at 533 after 45,029 recoveries were recorded.

Bono East Region – 781

Volta Region – 669

Western North Region – 638

Northern Region – 528

Ahafo Region – 524

Bono Region – 511

Upper East Region – 291

Oti Region – 241

Upper West Region – 90

Savannah Region – 62

North East Region – 19
